God Did Not Spare His Own Son, FOR Us.
Romans 8:32 (NASB) He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
Everything in the Old and New Testament points to Christ. It is the picture book of God’s Son, the Messiah. God is love and He loves His Son so much that everything in the word of God points to His Son, the Messiah. In the Old Testament it is a shadow, in other words, it’s not the real thing, but it points to what He is like. In the New Testament we find the substance. He is revealed and He now lives in you if you are born again (if you’re not or just not sure, Read and Re-read and apply Romans 10:9-10).
And the Son loves the Father. Everything that Jesus did, He did because it was God’s will. He healed everyone who came to Him for healing. Only in his own hometown could he not do many miracles there because of their unbelief. They saw Him as the kid who grew up amongst them. They did not see Him as God saw Him. This is what you and I have to do – see Jesus as the Father sees Him. With love, gladness, and joy.
See Jesus As Your Deliverer For EVERY Situation You Are Confronted With.
We Started Out As Enemies Of God.
Colossians 1:21-22 (NKJV) 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
Now We Are Holy, And Blameless, And Above Reproach In His Sight!
We were enemies of God. The only way to make this “right” was for God to give Jesus FOR us. A perfect sacrifice. God is just. Sin deserves punishment. Jesus took it all. THERE IS NO MORE PUNISHMENT TO TAKE. Your sickness is not a punishment. God wants you healed. Now. Not when you feel like it. Sin has been (past tense) dealt with. It is no longer a problem between you and God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
While We Were Enemies We Were Turned Into Friends. By Jesus.
We Shall Be Saved By His Life. The Cross Is The Beginning. Not The End.
Jesus came to dwell within us so that we could be saved by His life.
Romans 5:10 (NKJV) For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
God knew that His children – those who confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead (from Romans 10:9-10) – would be vulnerable to depression, sickness, doubt, fear, thoughts of worthlessness, and temptations.
How Can We Be Saved From These Things Of Life?
“It Is No Longer I Who Live.”
Galatians 2:20 (NIV) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Jesus is not impacted by threats to life. When we allow Him to be expressed through us we have our needs supplied according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:19). All we do is have faith unto Jesus.
There Is No Work You Do That Will Equal The Work That Jesus Has Already Done.
It’s Why We Don’t Compare Ourselves To Others. Christ Is All And In All.
Colossians 3:11 (NIV) Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
No one is left out. It doesn’t matter who you were, you have Christ in you, the hope of glory!
What Do You Give God? In Your Flesh You Have Nothing To Give Him. NOTHING.
Instead, Give Him What He Gave You, Jesus Christ.
Let Christ in you flourish, let Christ in you be your anchor in life. I can do all things through Christ (Him) who strengthens me (Phil 4:13). If you fall. So what. You’ve been forgiven. You are now God’s friend. Pick yourself up and give God Christ. When He sees you, it’s all He sees anyway. How beautiful Christ is to God! Remember, He sees you “holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight”.
This means God loves seeing you. He is ecstatic to see you. He loves being with you. If you have Christ in you, He sees your beauty as the beauty of Christ. Let Him Love You.
